And the Sci-Fi Epic begins. A good amount of this series was done in pencil, but with software I was able to darken it to improve the quality.

The “ouch” conclusion to the first mini story arc. There is a slight “in joke” here with the license plate on the back of the car. Before my comic strip, Captain Charlie, I did a few comic strips with the title “OOPS” in college.
And the space battle begins. Rick Hopper’s ship was actually modeled after an old spinning top I had.
The beginning of the “Building Fire” Story Arc. By the way, it’s a shame phone booths are barely around anymore. What’s a modern superhero suppose to do?
Three… Two.. One…. uh, Houston there appears to be a strange object in the sky blasting off, and it is not a rocket.

I’ve attempted to color a couple of comic strips with my software. Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite work with my already drawn art (which is rather substantial
). However, I have recently tried grayscale with success. Shades of gray in spots should give the comics more “PUNCH”. I hope you will enjoy the results. In June all my Zany Comics will use this technique for the near future. Captain Charlie in grayscale starts here.
